Q3: Does Gifu University offer classes to prepare for external tests such as the TOEFL iBT and IELTS?
A3: To prepare for those tests, we offer a class entitled, "Introduction to Language and Society" and a basic seminar, "Language and Society" as required courses. In addition, self-learning is essential. The class introduces study methods, provides teaching materials prepared by the faculty, and makes study rooms available. Furthermore, information about other preparatory courses can be obtained via the educational support system AIMS-GIFU (Academic Instruction Media Services-Gifu), which is a portal system for integrating information related to student life from multiple sources.

Q4: Why is it necessary to meet the requirements for English language ability before studying abroad?
A4: The purpose of an exchange program is not only learning a foreign language, but also attending classes with local students at universities overseas. Our partner universities accept only those students who possess the language skills sufficient to follow classes in English.

Q5: At which overseas universities may I study?
A5: Destinations for studying abroad include our partner universities that have signed an inter-university agreement, and additionally for Faculty of Regional Studies programs, those that also have signed a faculty-level agreement.
